John is the Founder & CEO of Empire Fish, leading product, partnerships, and go-to-market. He spearheaded integrations with PFBC, ADF&G, FWC, and other agencies to deliver real-time stocking, species, and access data across 11 states. Under his lead, Empire hit sub-500ms responses, 99.9% uptime, and 24,500+ mapped locations. Previously, he was the founding designer at Protect AI. Acquired by Palo Alto Networks. When not shipping APIs, John is usually on the water chasing trout.

Shayla is the Co-Founder and Head of Growth at Empire Fishing, leading partnerships, sales strategy, and customer success. She has built relationships with guides, agencies, and enterprise platforms that now depend on Empire’s data infrastructure. Shayla bridges the gap between technical innovation and the fishing community, driving adoption across commercial fleets, charter operators, and app developers nationwide.
